Electronics Parts Co-ordinator

The parts coordinator will be responsible for reviewing internal and customer BOMs, and sourcing parts within the required timelines in order to meet and exceed PTSL customers overall hardware schedules, at the most competitive pricing. 

The role will involve working closely with many different departments, including Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement as well as being a key point of contact with the customer. With PTSL’s global customer base, this role may require flexibility around early morning and evening work as required.

What you'll need to succeed 

The successful candidate will have experience in the purchase of, handling, and/or assembly of electronics components – from basic capacitors and resistors, to ICs.  The ability to communicate well with stakeholders, suppliers, internal departments and colleagues will be a major consideration in selecting the right candidate.  Having an NC, HNC, or HND in Electronics Engineering is desirable.

Finance Administrator

Probe Test Solutions Ltd is a Scottish company operating in the semiconductor electronics field. From our HQ in Hamilton we provide our global customers with an ever-growing variety of high tech test hardware. Due to consistent growth over the past 10 years we are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our existing accounts staff on a permanent, full time contract.

We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience within a similar accounts position. An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Sage Line 50 is essential for this role. Knowledge of Sage payroll is desired although not a necessity. Experience of this industry is not necessary. You should have a good work ethic and great organisational skills. You will be able to communicate well with a variety of people and have an inquisitive and proactive attitude. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team within a company which likes to progress their staff.

37.5 hours a week
Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:00
£21000 - £23000 depending on experience

After qualifying period:

  • Pension Scheme
  • Annual bonus

Duties Include:

  • Data entry, checking and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Managing customer and supplier accounts and, where necessary, credit control.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Processing expenses.
  • Managing VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Reports and Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the nature of this position.

PCB Design Manager

The PCB Design Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing a process flow and structure for managing Turn-Key projects within PTSL. Projects to be managed will be in the form of ATE Hardware solutions, with one, several, or all of the following:

  • Schematic Generation
  • PCB Design
  • PCB Fabrication
  • Probe Hardware Design
  • Probe Hardware Manufacture
  • Socket Design
  • Socket Manufacture
  • Component Assembly
  • Turnkey Assembly

The successful candidate will have the responsibility for defining a robust process flow that allows PTSL to scale up capacity in PCB design, while managing the existing resource and workload more effectively. Role responsibilities will include:

  • Potential software solutions for project management
  • PCB Design staffing levels
  • Grading and understanding capabilities of current and new staff for assignment to projects – (assignment based on complexity vs designer ability/experience)
  • Consideration of apprenticeship program
  • File structure and revision control
  • Remote access for international designers, and most effective server type/location (i.e. Cloud, or other).

With PTSL’s global customer base, this role may involve frequent international travel, and flexibility around early morning and evening work is required.

What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will experience in designing ATE PCB’s, and Manufacturing of Electronics Hardware – ideally ATE. Previous Project Management experience would be preferred, as is experience in full lifecycle product development. The ability to communicate well with stakeholders, suppliers, internal departments and colleagues will be a major factor in this role.
